did i say english was easier at hockaday? it’s NOT!!!!!!
it’s HARD….
Everyone has something wrong with them. The only difference between people is how obvious the differences are. :)
Okay, I was originally just going to stop updating, but there’s no better way to send information to Annie because she won’t comment on my comments!!!!
Anyways, you probably won’t know who these teachers are so there’s no point but anyways…
Classes (From favorite to Least Favorite)
Algebra 2/Pre-cal- This class is hard…because of my teacher’s freaking hard quizzes…but I like it…plus this class doesn’t grade homework. YAY!!! I also have friends in this class, so that helps.
English- Okay, English 2 at Hockaday is WAY easier than English 2 at Liberty. I have a really nice teacher….and we’re doing around the same thing that I did last year at liberty, so this class isn’t very hard, and it’s somewhat enjoyable.
Spanish 3- I’m learning stuff! Isn’t that great! I really like my Spanish teacher, she’s actually a good teacher.
World History- My teacher is really funny, but her tests are suppose to be really hard. Plus, the problem with this class is that 8th graders at Hockaday study half of World History already (from Mesopotania? to the Dark Ages) So we started in the Renaissance and if i want to take the AP class at the end of the year.
Aerobics- So weird that I actually like PE, but Aeorbics is fun…I just can’t dance because I’m so uncoordinated…
AP Physics B- oh my goodness. This class is soooo hard. We move quickly because you’re SUPPOSE to take regular physics before you take this class (guess who didn’t), and the homework takes me forever!!!! Luckily, my teacher grades tests on an AP curve, so if you get above a 75 percent, you get an A on a test!!! thank goodness. And I have a really good physics teacher. I just don’t like physics.
Annie, there is no way I could ever write as much as you, so I’m just going to give up now…
You know what? I’m going to miss everyone soooo, soooooo much. Actually, the only reason it took me so long to make my decision about Hockaday is my friends. Ya’ll are the bestest, most awesomestics, unorthodox, idiosyncratic buddies ever. and I will miss you all so much.
What exactly will I miss?
I will miss Annie, and her inadvertable tendency to burst into song at random moments, while using her milk bottle as a microphone.
I will miss how Megan seems to catch me in every nervous breakdown I have, but somehow manages to cheer me up before I decide to go fling rubber bands at myself.
I will miss how everyone always corrects my speech.
I will miss how, everytime I invite Annie over to my house, she comes over thirty minutes to one hour after I call her, and that’s only IF she even decides to come to my house.
I will miss how everyone constantly informs me that my shoelaces are untied as if I don’t realize it.
I will miss splashing cold water at Annie before she puts her goggles on, not realizing that water in contacts actually hurts……(oops, sorry)
I will miss the totally exaggerated face Matthew makes when he’s surprised (like when I told him I got a 76 on the world geo test).
I will miss Megan’s hyperness.
I will miss the way Preston always misses the easiest questions on the biology test. (Don’t forget! Algae is a protist!
)
I will miss the wonderfully scornful conversations I have with Annie on the bus about people that I completely despise.
I will miss how Bhavya constantly freaks out about biology tests, but always manages to get a better score on them than me.
I will miss frantically studying for biology tests in the art hallway with Annie in the morning.
I will miss writing Chinese letters to my biology teacher.
I will miss my biology teacher, and my math teacher, and my world geo teacher and all the teachers in between…
I will miss Ali beating the crap out of Omar, Matt and Me at ERS.
I will miss trying to plan a star wars marathon and a road trip with Alex and Max.
I can’t think of anything else…I’m so tired…I’ll work on this later…
Okay, I’m tired of writing in Chinese….
okay. it does no good to post about this b/c i’ve already told everyone, but whatever…
I am going to the Hockday School next year. Why? I have three reasons:
1. I don’t want to take BCIS. (Olivia thinks this one is really stupid) I DESPISE BCIS. This is a really dumb reason for wanting to leave, but it’s still a reason.
2. The classes seem really fast paced. You also get to use laptops to take notes, and almost everyone is really, really smart. So that should be interesting.
3. This is my main reason. I am so stressed out at Liberty because of the ranking system. I really hate being ranked. Even now I feel so pressured to not only keep my current rank, but I also feel pressured to improve my rank. I just don’t want to work an extra two hours just to raise my GPA by .01 points. It makes me extremely mad when I see people like *cough* one of my neighbors who cheat of everyone else to get higher scores than me. If I do want to beat him, then I have to work harder. and harder. Hockaday doesn’t rank you; you only have to work to get on an honor roll, and I’m okay with that.
So, yup. that is why I am leaving next year. But it did take me a long, long time to decide. The thing that I will miss most about Liberty is the people I know there. I won’t just miss my friends, but just my classmates in general. I feel pretty sad. I’ve known some of these people since third grade. But I’ll come back to visit, as soon as i learn to drive myself…which may take a while.
have you fallen asleep yet? this was a very boring post…
Okay…I’m going to post about tennis today.
I officially suck at tennis.
I really do. I know this, because, instead of getting better, I’m getting worse. (sigh) Because my backhand used to be okay, and now it sucks. My forehand has always stunk, and now it still stinks. Not to mention, I sometimes randomly hit tennis balls to the court besides me, so the people playing beside us sometimes see two tennis balls flying towards them. (Mitosis happened in the air!) It’s really embarrasing.
guess what? At tae kwon do, we were doing exercises…so we were rotating in and practicing turn kick. the point is to try to move quickly, so that you actually get exercise. But, unfortunately, the person in front of me moved too slowly, and then I started to kick, and I couldn’t stop, so ummm….I accidently….kicked his butt. literally. That was also pretty embarrasing, for both of us. After that, when ever he rotated out, he pretty much ran to the back of the line so I wouldn’t kick him again….oops…
Wow, I think that this was my longest post since last summer!
There was this song I really wanted, I think it’s called “The Call” by Regina Spektor or something like that….so I tried to find it on itunes, but it turned out to be album only!!!
EVERYONE’S GONE!!!!! ALEX, MAX!!!! COME BACK from VACATION!!!!!!
AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I’m going nuts…!!!!!!
I need someone to talk to!!!!!!!!!!
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
(i think i had too many blueberry muffins.)
