Blocking Out
Okay. I don’t know why I always go back to this bright green design. I think it’s because it makes me feel happy.
Anyways, as some of you know, I had to quit band. I say I “had” to, because I had no say in the choice. Basically, my parents game me the options of either quitting tae kwon do and piano, or quitting band. For the longest time, I have hated playing the piano. (In fact if they had given me this choice last year I probably would’ve been like “Yes!!! I get to quit the piano!!!”) But for some reason, I have actually been having fun in piano class, and I’ve started to really like piano, and I now like my piano almost as much as I like my oboe. Plus, since I’ve been playing piano for at least 5 years, (I actually started in 1st grade, but I had horrible teachers for two years, and I quit for a year, so those three years don’t count.) and I don’t want to give it up now.
So that’s why I didn’t want to quit piano.
That aside, once she told me that I had to quit, I begged her to reconsider. She told me that she and my dad would not take me to or pick me up from any band related activities if I chose to consider band. Since I can’t drive yet, and the high school is too far away for me to walk to (I have to cross the highway, i think) I couldn’t think of any way to get from band back to home every day.
Saying I’m irritated is a huge understatement. Since I had to give my oboe back to the band (I was renting it), I had to borrow an oboe from the music store. I really despise practicing on it. It has to be one of the worst oboes ever.
So anyways, I felt like putting this post up. I’m going to continue playing oboe, just as a hobby.

Okay, i’m now officially bored since alex and max are both on VACATION! seriously, i’ve been singing “camptown races” the entire day. I even caught bob humming it while he walked down the stairs (even though he denied it the next second) Where is alex or max when you need her?

I went to math class yesterday. My teacher is a very interesting person. If we don’t bring paper, we either have to go home, or we have to buy a piece from him for 5$. Yeah, one piece. He’s says that he needs it to make up for the high gas prices. 
Bob’s been singing the ebay song and the “don’t download this song” song. I’ll put up don’t download this song. I think it’s pretty interesting.
Yeah…i did a “maple music video” because bob likes maplestory so much.
so watch this only if you’re seriously bored and in need of entertainment.

I updated two pages and added another page, so go and look at them. They’re kind of interesting.

Falling
Wow. camp was really really really fun and awesome. And I learned so much, plus i can now play twice as long. So I really enjoyed it. I learned how to make reeds, so I was happy about that too. The oboe professor was awesome and I really loved our classes. Ironically, band was the least fun part about the camp since I didn’t practice my audition music a lot and was placed in a band that had seriously easy music. So I wasn’t happy about that, but at least I got stronger.
The bad thing was, when I came back from camp, I learned that my grandfather died. When we went to the funeral yesterday, I don’t know why but I couldn’t stop crying, which really surprised me. I think it was because I never had a chance to say goodbye.
The funny thing was that during the funeral, we met the president of the University of Georgia. After my parents told him that I skipped a grade in english, he gave me his business card and told him that I could email him whenever I had questions and that I would be welcomed to come to the University of Georgia. Anyways, I thought that was funny since it was at a funeral, and my eyes were all red, and since I was only starting high school. But he seemed nice, and Georgia is a pretty warm place.
btw, one of mom’s friends and her son is moving to America. They’ve been here for about one week. Her son has a kind of british accent. He also says he wants to keep it.
I bought The Host by Stephenie Meyer. It is my favorite book of all time. I didn’t think I would like it, but I’ve read it three times already and It’s terrific. Each time, it almost made me cry. If you can get inside of the book and get to know the characters, I think It’ll probably bring you close to crying.
Anyways, after I unpack, I have to repack for DCCYC this friday. I can’t wait to go.
